We want to tell you more about our other products, specifically our Scar Therapy and Silicone Tape products that have confusingly similar names: Mepitac and Mepiform.
Mepitac and Mepiform are both medical products produced by Mölnlycke, but they serve different purposes:
Mepitac is a silicone-based tape designed for gentle fixation of medical devices or dressings on sensitive or fragile skin. Mepitac is particularly useful in securing dressings for wounds and can be easily removed without causing additional trauma to the skin.
In summary, Mepitac is used for gentle fixation of dressings on sensitive skin, while Mepiform is used specifically for the management of new, hypertrophic and keloid scars.
