Collection: Minor Burns and Infected Wounds

Infected wounds should be managed under the guidance of a Health Care Professional.

1. Cleanse the wound with a suitable wound irrigation solution such as Granudacyn® wound spray.
2. Use a dressing with silver to provide immediate and prolonged antimicrobial properties such as Mepilex® Ag or Mepilex® Border Ag*, ensuring a suitable size that provides a 1-2cm overlap from the wound edges.
3. Once healed, use a clinically proven scar therapy product such as Mepiform® to prevent and treat scar formation.   

* If using Mepilex® Ag, use a secondary retention bandage, such as Tubifast® should be used to hold the dressing in place.
